My son received his first quarter award today...It was the "MOST ATTENTIVE AWARD."
I'm proud of my son...even without those awards at school, we still love him but having been given an award means super blessing indeed...and that makes us happy as parents...

Marq and Leeann's Wedding 091011
One of my friends, Leeann recently got married, and she chose me to make souvenir cakes for her. I must admit so far this was one of the tiring and hardest projects I've done.
If I were to choose between doing cupcakes or these mini cakes, I would still go for cupcakes....Thanks again to my husband who is always there to help me out with my cake projects.
FYI: He was the one who designed the boxes, and it was his idea...again, I admit, I'm no good when it comes to art okay hehehe!
Below were my 4-inch round mini chocolate cakes with chocolate frosting in fuschia and purple motif...
Thank you for the trust in me Leeann and Marq.. God Bless you both!
Looking forward to more projects in the coming days...Thank you Lord!

Magalawa Island
My friends and I had a trip to Magalawa Island, Zambales. It was my first time here in this island. I'm not the adventurer type of person I might say because before they convinced me to go with them there my first question was, "Is there a CR and water there?" and they said yes so I also said "go" but believe me a week before the trip, I was really really anxious about things hehehe...
The trip I should say was like an "amazing race" hahaha...because at 2 pm, about 5 hours before the trip plans were changed and thanks to Jacq..The initial plan was that we'll be meeting at Ayala MRT at 8 pm and we'll be coming from there to Cubao Victory Liner terminal. Hours before that, she said that we'll just be riding a bus from Caloocan Victory Liner Sta Cruz Zambales route....and jacq made pasaway pa...so at 8:30 we decided to board MRT going to LRT station...only to know that the last trip was at 9 pm because it was a weekend whereas jacq told us that the last trip was 10 pm....so we ran only to catch the last trip for LRT but then we failed hahahah...imagine us running with our heavy back packs....amazing race mode indeed....
Then we decided to take a cab going to Caloocan...where we met a very sarcastic and "galit sa mundong" cab driver....hahaha...
Then another series of unfortunate events happened....the cab driver gave us 2 options Quiapo or R10 road, and we chose the R10 road without knowing what that road was ahahaha...the driver took the road going to Caloocan by passing by to R10 road....(If I'm right ha)...R10 road is known for series of holdups and crime rate is high etc etc...there, you'll pass by smokey mountain, Tondo, navotas etc etc..so all throughout the trip, I felt like my heart stopped beating...Promise...and sorry I did not take pictures for I still love my life...PROMISE...
Finally, we arrived at the terminal ALIVE! Thank God for the 2nd life talaga...finally we were able to breathe again...
We left Caloocan Terminal at 12 am and we arrived at Zambales at 4 am. It was still dark when we arrived at the island.....
Here are some of the pictures I took from the island using my GE X500
A day after, here's what I got....
I got stung by an insect called gnat or "niknik"...Believe me it's really really itchy...don't forget to bring your citronella spray or insect repellent...
It's still itchy as of this date...now it's turning dark red in color..still very itchy at times so I apply lotion every time I feel the itch...

Clauie's 2nd Birthday Barbie Themed Cupcakes
It was Clauie's 2nd birthday last Sunday, and her mom who also happens to be my friend asked me to make cupcakes for her little princess. She wanted a Barbie themed cupcake design. This was held at Jollibee Festival mall but unfortunately my son was not able to attend the party because he got sick prior to the party so we just stayed home.
Anyway, I would like to thank my friends also "tin and jek" who always make the designs for me when it comes to cupcake toppers or tarps.
Thank you to daddy for helping me out on this..FYI, he was the one who packed the cupcakes in display boxes, and it was him who designed it okay (coz Im not really that good in art..I know hahaha!)
My friend said they liked the cupcakes and also how it looked like. By the way, the cupcakes were made of chocolate with pink buttercream frosting and candy sprinkles...Hoping for more projects to come...
Again, thank you Leo and Gie!
Nutrition Month 2011
July is Nutrition Month, and this year's theme is: Isulong ang Breastfeeding-Tama, Sapat at Eksklusibo!" From what I know, DepEd requires all schools to celebrate Nutrition Month to increase awareness and promote proper nutrition to all Filipinos.
Since my son's in his nursery, they were told to wear fruit hats. We bought that in Quiapo as "ready made" for 100 pesos, but you can actually add on some more fruits if you feel like "OC"ing the hat. There are also plastic fruits available there for 100 pesos/set. We didn't add on some more fruits since my husband told me not to because he said it will be only a one-time use..Well ok fine! Lol!

2 Sundays of Happiness
I am happy because for 2 consecutive Sundays, Daddy and Jaji were here with me at home..That rarely happens because dad has a weekday off. Meaning, our rest days rarely meet. Most of the time, it's jaji and I who eat together and bond.
I've thought of cooking and baking for both of my boys since I can consider that a rare family day for us....

Cupcakes for Pia and Rommel's Wedding June 20, 2011
Yesterday, we attended a wedding celebration of my husband's cousin. My husband cooked some of their requested dishes like chopsuey and sweet and sour fish fillet and the famous dessert of Filipinos, buko pandan hehe!
We have thought of baking cupcakes for them as our gift. The reception was held at the City State Tower Hotel at Mabini Ermita. Well, the party went well. They liked what my husband cooked and it was a blockbuster, especially the fish fillet.
Anyway, honestly, I was so proud of my cupcakes this time.....and glad that finally my husband gave me 2 thumbs up for this! Looking forward for more cupcake projects soon!
